Hot Dog Eating Contest With a Funny Video Clip

It’s the big hot dog eating contest today at Coney Island.

Okay, so gas prices suck and so does the economy, but man, it’s summer time and it’s the 4th of July holiday. Quick, what food do you think of for July 4th and summer and grilling and outdoor eating? Hot dogs! So it’s only appropriate that the annual hot dog eating contest takes place on this day at Coney Island!

Yes, we have a winner: Joey Chestnut, after downing 64 hot dogs in 10 minutes… well, actually, it was 59 hot dogs in 10 minutes but so did runner up Takeru Kobayashi. So, the guys had to have a tie-breaker, an “eat off” of another five franks. That’s when Joey Chestnut took home the gold!

Richard Shea, one of the founders of the International Federation of Competitive Eating, said it was the first time in his memory the contest went into overtime.

Wanna see a hilariously funny video clip of a hot dog eating contest from the uber-popular TV show Grey’s Anatomy? Here ya go…

Yeah, it ain’t the hot dog eating contest at Coney Island, but it sure is a funny video clip!

4th of July Fireworks Video Clip Showing Largest Fireworks Display Ever

To celebrate the 4th of July a fireworks video clip of the largest fireworks display on record.

Happy Birthday America! Here in the good ol’ You Ess of Aay (USA!), it’s a national holiday - Independence Day - celebrated on July 4 every year to mark the country’s birthday. In the last two posts (yesterday and the day before), I gave you some awesome fireworks video clips to help get in the spirit of this fun summer holiday, and today I give you a “grand finale” video clip showing the world’s largest fireworks display on record. Okay, so it was done in Portugal back in December 2006, but who cares! Fireworks are almost a national symbol of the July 4th holiday in the U.S. so even this fireworks display will have a special meaning to every American on this day.

Now there’s a 4th of July fireworks video clip to beat the band, eh?
