Strength Training Exercise With a Funny Video of What Not To Do

Strength training exercise is fundamental to overall good health, but be aware of yourself and your surroundings when working out, unlike the guy in the funny video.

There are a huge number of websites online making the bold claim that they will show you strength training exercises and how to do them the right way: Proper form, technique, breathing, and so on. However, this is not really the best approach. If you want to start a strength training exercise program, what you really need is to buddy up with a partner, someone who can assist and guide you, act as your spotter, and serve as a source of motivation to get you going and keep you going working out until you reach your weight training exercise goals.

You have many options in this regard. The first and probably most obvious option is to get and use a gym membership. Another way to go is to get a set of free weights and do your weight lifting exercises at home with a friend. A third option is also the most expensive: Invest in a strength training machine and set it up at home in your garage, basement, or exercise room. The key no matter which route you take is safety. If you do not do your strength training exercise with proper safety precautions, you may end up getting seriously injured.

If you do your weight lifiting routing at home, watch out and don’t be like the kid in this funny video clip. He barely picks the barbell up when BAM… oooooo…. no good! This is funny, yet stupid, yet instructional! Keep your eye on the fishtank…

If you do not have the room at home for equipment or the desire to stay at home to workout, then I recommend doing your strength training exercise at the gym. There are several benefits to be had by going this route. Here are some of the top reasons why this is a smart approach.

The number one reason is safety and knowledge. Gym staff will instruct you on what exercises you should be doing to reach the strength training goals you have. Next, they can guide you on what free weights and/or machines to use to meet those goals and give you instructions on how to properly use all the equipment you will be using. And most important, they can spot you. Many strength training exercise injuries that occur every year could be avoided if the injured trainer had only used a spotter. A spotter is especially critical when you are using free weights (as opposed to a weight machine). Free weights can cause very serious injury and even death if you are forced to drop the free weights due to muscle fatigue and coordination.

Another great reason to use the gym is psychological. It is far easier to get psyched for your strength training exercises when you go to the gym since in most cases you will be surrounded by many other people who are dedicating themselves and making the time and effort to get in shape. With all of that visual influence, you will be hard pressed to simply slack off in your own weight training program while at the gym. It is a lot easier to NOT do your workout if you are by yourself all the time at home.

Furthermore, personal trainers are available at many gyms. They will help you be your personal best, assist you to work harder than you could do yourself, and help you establish and chart your progress toward your strength training fitness goals. They can even help you create a personalized program listing which which strength training exercises you should do, how many sets and how many reps, and how frequently you should workout for maximum benefit to strengthen the muscle groups you are targeting.

And for total health fitness, do not forget about some sort of cardiovascular training to go along with your strength training exercises. Good cardio health is essential to overall health and it is a great complement to any weight lifting training exercise program. Chance are, with great overall health that you can achieve with a healthy diet, weight training, and aerobic exercise, you will live longer and be happier and have more energy which will allow you to live your life to the fullest! So get active and stay active. Unfortunately, none of us get to stay young forever. But those of us who workout regularly and perform adequate aerobic activities every day do tend to act and feel young longer than those who have a more sedentary lifestyle.

And, as you get more fit, you will be able to do more in terms of your workout. You will be able to add more weight and/or more variety to your strength training exercise program. While you can get by quite well with just strength training exercise, cardio is absolutely essential to your health. You will live longer, be healthier, and happier, and even have more energy if you do some aerobic activities every day to keep you active. We do not stay young forever, but those of us who get adequate aerobic exercises do stay young for longer than those who do not. Once you start doing that, then you can add your strength training exercise program.
