Getting hit in the head with a baseball is no fun. Duh!

It’s no fun to get hit in the head with a baseball, so a prank to just fool people that they might get hit is in order to get the laughs. That’s just what happens in this video clip. Baseball players make people walking by think that they may get hit with a fly ball. Check it - pretty funny … then see the clip below this one to see a guy really get hit with a fly ball!

This guy riding his bike outside the left field area is in the wrong place at the wrong time … smack! Right in the head. Ouch!!!

The lesson here is if you happen to be near a ball park or any place where a baseball game is going on, watch out so you don’t get hit in the head with a baseball!

Guy has a blast dancing in Best Buy.

This guy apparently doesn’t love to shop since he’d rather dance at Best Buy. I’m guessing this was caught on one of the security cameras used by the electronics retailing giant. Pretty funny: Go in to check out some cool audio gear and get caught up in the music, and get caught on tape! This guy rocks!

Next time I go to Best Buy, I’ll be thinking of this guy dancing his a** off!

The toilet is broken on the International Space Station (ISS).

The residents of the International Space Station are sh*t out of luck, so to speak, when it comes to their need to relieve themselves. The toilet is down and out, unusable for going number one (apparently the solid waste disposal aspect of the toilet is still working, so going number two can happen in full comfort and confidence). And there’s just one toilet on the space station. A single toilet for the International Space Staion… Think about that! Huh?

Well, the space station occupants are not totally out of luck with this broken toilet since they can use the can on the Soyuz escape craft that’s serves as a permanent appendage to the ISS. And, the space folks will only be inconvenienced for a matter of days since the space shuttle Discovery will make a visit to the space station next week; toilet repair parts will be part of the mission’s cargo.

Here’s a cool toilet with a spinning seat… I wonder if this toilet ever breaks down?

The International Space Station needs better backup systems for the one toilet that happens to break down.

Charlie Crist, the Governor of Florida, possible McCain running mate, plus signs health insurance mandate.

Sporting his Florida tan, Governor Charlie Crist (some folks like to write his name like Charlie Christ, can you believe it?) is in the sights of GOP Presidential hopeful John McCain as a possible running mate, to be on the McCain ticket as Vice President. Hmmm, is McCain banking on the proximity of Crist’s name to Christ? Hah! It may just swing a more than a few voters his way if those voters think they’re getting McCain and Christ in the White House!

Okay, back to reality here…. Florida Governor Charlie Crist today also signed a bill into Florida law today that mandates health insurance for families with autistic children. The main benefit of the insurance bill will provide autism therapy to young children to allow them to deal with their condition and go on to live as normal a life as possible. The bill has provisions to help families by paying up to $36,000 per year, with a cap over the lifetime of the program at $200,000.

At least these families won’t have to go shopping for health insurance on their own! Imagine the scenario of evaluating health plans and you want to know which doctors are included in the plan. That’s what the video below is about. It’s a commercial for a Blue Shield plan and it features an adorable girl talking like the New Yorker (”New Yaw-kah”) she is, Brooklyn most likely! Very funny how she says, “…red lipstick and sh*t…”!!!

Barak Obama 57 states campaigned with one to go.

And so it goes in national politics: The goofs, gaffes, and blunders of the tongue… Or are they? In a recent speech, we learned of the Barak Obama 57 States campaign that he’s been on all year. Yup, 57 states - he said it himself! Slip of the tongue while on the stump? Could be, but then again, given this guy’s track record of late (i.e. the whole fiasco with the Rev. Wright, etc.) it may be exactly what he thinks, that the U.S. has at least 57 states.

You’re not helping yourself Barak with stupid comments like that… hate to tell ya….

For such a smooth talker who early on filled massive rooms and halls and auditoriums and made the women swoon with his vapid speeches about nothing, basically, (ok, he talked “change” and “hope” — woooo hooooo!), you wouldn’t expect such a gaffe. What the hell was he thinking?

And he wants to be President?

Um, excuse me, Senator Obama, sir? Ummm, the first basic requirement and qualification for being President of the United States is to know some basics about the United States of America, like, for example, how many states are in the United States of America? Huh? Huh?

Obama: “Oh sure, I can answer that. Here goes: The United States has, ummm, 57 states! Yes, 57! Mmmm hmmmm!”.

***BUZZZZZZZZZ**** Wrongo big guy, but thanks for playing!

I love how the national main stream press is simply writing this off as a “miscount”. A miscount? Excuse me? And that in making this verbal blunder, the press is saying Obama has given bloggers, pundits, and newscasters (and the Clinton campaign) something to talk about, to nit-pick about. Damn right he has! This guy walks around with his silky smooth chatter and cocky swagger and can’t even correctly state a simple fact in a speech? Sorry, but he won’t get any slack from this blogger!

And you weren’t allowed to go to Hawaii and Alaska per orders of your staff? What? Those happen to be two of our states, mister! Duh! But maybe those two don’t really count, because afterall, according to Obama, 57 states plus one more will just about do it!

New postage rates as of today.

The United States Postal Service is at it again with new postage rates in effect for today. I’ll give you one guess at the answer to this question: Do you think the new postage rates are higher or lower than the old? Right! (I won’t insult your intelligence with an answer…)

But hey, the price of everything is going up so it only stands to reason that the new stamp prices are higher than they were. A first class stamp has jumped a penny from 41 cents to 42 cents, a 2.5% increase!

In general, I like to think that if I pay more for something, I get better value; ya know, more for my money, better service, or whatever applies.

Now, speaking from my own experience with the USPS, I can’t complain too much… they’re pretty good and pretty reliable on average. Then again, there are those exceptions. Take what happens in this funny video clip. It’s a news story showing a USPS mail carrier in North Carolina making a delivery of a package containing a precious, fragile family heirloom.

Well, it used to be family heirloom; after this guy is done delivering it, it’s a rubble heap!

So, yeah: You sometimes get this kind of service yet we now have to pay more for it! Hah! And by the way: Get yourself some Forever stamps to lock in the current postage price forever and laugh at any future new postage rates.

Don’t give Mom any of these things as gifts for Mother’s Day.

I discovered something today on the Yahoo Shine site: A list of five things to not get Mom for Mother’s Day (it’s this Sunday you know, May 11). These would be the worst things to express your love for Mom on her special day, and they include the following: Any type of kitchen appliance, like a blender or cake mixer or bread maker or food processor (a coffee maker may be okay); lotions to make her smell nice because you might send the wrong message about Mom’s hygiene; frumpy pajamas that could only be worn by Little House on the Prairie women; any kind of equipment used for house cleaning, like vacuum cleaners.

Finally, if you’re a guy, don’t give Mom (or your wife/significant other) a cold! That is, a Man Cold! Strictly off limits! Nothing like having a cold to pass on to Mom on her special day, and one that keeps you couch- or bed-ridden so that Mom has to tend to your every wimpy need just because you’re not feeling well.

Got some spare liquid nitrogen hanging around? Add it to your swimming pool!

Yeah, sure, that’s right: Take a box of liquid nitrogen and think: What can I do with it? A head scratcher for sure. Here’s an idea: Why not stand in chest-high water in your swimming pool with the box of liquid nitrogen. Then, just for fun, drop the box into the water.

Wow! Instant fog show. But look out cuz liquid N is extremely cold. Brrrrrrrrr….

The guy in this stupid but funny video clip does just this. And, he goes swimming through the nitrogen fog like he’s in a steam bath! Idiot? Dunno…

So the bottom line solution to your problem of liquid nitrogen and a swimming pool is to just put the two together. Simple!

Mr. Redlegs, the Cincinnati Reds Mascot Loses It, His Head, That Is!

There are mascot problems in the big leagues (baseball) lately, and Mr. Redlegs, mascot of the Cincinnati Reds suffered a terrible blow the other day in the game against the Chicago Cubs. He was riding on the back of his ATV (driven by his escort) on the warning track. He stepped off, lost his balance, and fell. The resulting blow to Mr. Redlegs’ head caused said head to boggle right the f*** off!

Here’s a stupid mashup video of the event with video effects (way overdone in my opinion) to repeatedly highlight the critical parts of what happened.

Oh, the Reds beat the Cubs in that game too, interestingly enough! Hope it doesn’t go to the Reds’ heads! I wonder, though, if the Cincinnati Reds mascot will continue to lose his head on a regular basis now, you know, for the good of the team in terms of winning!

Can you figure out why Wendy’s disapproved this commercial?

Some people just take things too far. In the case of this commercial for fast food giant Wendy’s, it appears that the advertising agency stepped over the boundary of good taste. But hey, one could argue Wendy’s stepped over the boundary of good taste as well, coming out with a super-duper spicy-hot sandwich like the one being pitched in this commercial.

It’s actually pretty funny. Be sure to watch all the way to the end for a bang up good time!
